Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Students can submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the Internet. The FASFA collects financial data and other information that is used to calculate the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) that ultimately determines a student's eligibility for financial aid.
The key to obtaining financial aid is to apply early. Students should apply at least three months prior to the time they expect to enter school. Late applicants may begin the process at anytime. However, financial aid will not be awarded until you have been accepted to the college.
If students prefer to fill out a paper FAFSA it is available to download on the studentaid.gov website and it includes instructions on how to complete and submit the form.
Fill the form out completely and submit it to the federal processor after October 1st. Our priority filing date is March 15th prior to the upcoming school year. However, applicants may continue to file the FAFSA throughout the academic year for remaining available funds.
Students must reapply for financial aid each year by updating their information on the "FAFSA on the Web" website. If you are applying for student loans, you need to submit a loan worksheet each year as well.
Wenatchee Valley College Title IV school code is 003801. Use this code when completing your FAFSA. Please call the WVC Financial Aid Office directly at 509.682.6810 if you need any assistance.
