Prepare for graduation

Students can follow this step-by-step guide to apply for graduation and prepare to attend a WVC graduation ceremony.

NOTE: All graduates must apply for graduation regardless of whether you choose to participate in a WVC graduation ceremony.

To receive a degree or certificate from Wenatchee Valley College, you must earn at least 30 college level credits at WVC AND hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or higher for all college-level WVC courses applicable to the degree or certificate.

Questions? Meet with your academic advisor or contact the WVC registration office at registration@wvc.edu.

A note about incoming transfer credit

Incoming transfer credits from other colleges and universities should be evaluated as soon as you have registered for your first quarter at WVC. If you have transfer credit that has not been evaluated and you need these credits to graduate, please submit a request for evaluation form (Academic Program Evaluation or Vocational Program Evaluation) as soon as possible. You must have official transcripts from all of the other schools you have attended on file with the admissions and registration office before your transfer credits can be evaluated. Call 682-6839 or 682-6835 for more information.

If you have completed the program requirements during the fall 2025, or winter 2026 quarters and/or anticipate completing program requirements during spring 2026 or summer 2026 quarters you are eligible to participate in the June 2026 commencement ceremony.

WVC offers exceptions to graduates completing programs in fall 2026 who need to attend the June 2026 commencement ceremony. To request an exception, please email graduation@wvc.edu.

The deadline for student names in the commencement program is Wednesday, May 4, 2026. If you apply to graduate after that date, you are still eligible to participate in the event, but your name will not appear in the commencement program.

NOTE: This is required of all graduates regardless of whether you choose to participate in a WVC graduation ceremony.

You should apply to graduate by completing the "Application for Degree/Certificate" form as soon as you have registered for your final quarter. Submit the Application for Degree/Certificate. You can also submit the Application in person at the Registration office.

Completing the application process is the only way to have your degree or certificate recorded on your transcript at WVC. It does not obligate you to go to a graduation ceremony held each June.

Deadlines to apply for graduation:

  • Fall quarter: Dec. 1
  • Winter quarter: March 2
  • Spring quarter: May 4

The evaluation process for graduation applications begins after grades have been posted on the student transcript. You will be notified whether or not you have met all the requirements for graduation after grades have been posted. Check the academic calendar to see when grades are posted for each quarter.

Questions? Contact the WVC Admissions/Registration department at graduation@wvc.edu

Diplomas will be mailed to the student's address on the graduation application, approximately 8-10 weeks after grades have been posted. Students will get an email and/or text from our vendor, Parchment, to log in to their Parchment account to verify their address prior to mailing. Students can download a certified digital copy of their diploma at this time and share on social network platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. The digital diploma cannot be printed.

Graduation applications submitted after the quarterly deadline may be held and processed in the following quarter.
