600.126 TUITION PAYMENT PLANS POLICY

To facilitate access to its educational services, Wenatchee Valley College provides tuition payment plans. These plans are intended for students who enroll in credit coursework, and meet minimum qualifications as set forth in the college’s administrative procedures.

The college shall create procedures to ensure appropriate fiscal responsibility in the implementation of this policy.

1600.126 TUITION PAYMENT PLAN PROCEDURE

A. OVERVIEW

Wenatchee Valley College allows students enrolled in at least five credits and owing at least $200 to pay tuition and fees in three installments over three months. The payment plan is available every quarter of qualified enrollment. There is a non-refundable service fee of $25.

B. PROCEDURE

  1. The tuition payment plan applies only to tuition and required class fees not covered by financial aid or third party sponsorship.
  2. Students enrolled in a minimum of five credits and owing at least $200 are eligible.
  3. Non-refundable fees don’t qualify for the payment plan and are due with first payment.
  4. Students apply for the payment plan in person or by mail, with the original signed agreement form and approval from a WVC cashier.
  5. The payment plan allows for three equal payments, as follows:
    1. First payment and service charge due at published tuition due date.
    2. Second payment one month later.
    3. Final payment a month after second payment.
  6. A non-refundable service charge of $25 is added to the first payment
  7. Tuition and fees paid under the payment plan may be forfeited if a student drops classes during the refund period. Unpaid service (late) fees will be deducted from refunds processed.
  8. Class schedule changes that result in more tuition and fees due must be paid within two business days or the payment agreement amended.
  9. Students who drop before all payments are made may be billed for the difference between balance owed and allowable refund.
  10. Payment reminders will be sent to the student’s WVC-issued email address.
  11. A non-refundable late charge of $20 will be added to unpaid accounts the next business day after the due date.
  12. Students with unpaid fees are subject to holds on transcripts, grades and enrollment activity.
  13. Tuition payment plan agreements are maintained in the cashier office, Wenatchee campus.
