Teacher Clock Hours

Wenatchee Valley College is approved by the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction as a teacher clock-hour granting institution.

Review the list of courses approved for WA teacher clock hours here: Approved Clock Hour Courses, then complete the steps outlined below.

  • For online, Ed2go courses, please review course descriptions, syllabi, and instructor details at Ed2go.com/wvc. You will also find useful information about how the online courses work.

STEP 1
Please submit the Request for Clock Hours for Approved Courses form.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation within 5 business days. The confirmation will provide instructions for registering and paying for the class(es) and the $20 clock hour fee.

STEP 2
Register and pay for the approved course(s) and pay the $20 clock hour fee. This can be done in a single transaction.

The $20 clock hour fee covers the course(s) in the submitted request, regardless of how many clock hours you may be seeking. Additional requests will require the $20 clock hour fee.
Update 7/31/24:  Effective 10/1/24, the $20 clock hour fee will be assessed per registered course, and is due at the time of payment to WVC.

The intention to seek clock hours must be stated, and clock hours paid for, at the time of registration. Clock hours cannot be issued retroactively.

STEP 3
Begin the approved course(s) and notify WVC Continuing Education at time of completion. Send email notification to ceinfo@wvc.edu

STEP 4
Complete a WVC Continuing Education course evaluation (sent by email) for each course completed.

Issuance of clock hours transcript
WA teacher clock hour transcripts are processed within 7-10 business days after receipt of completed course evaluation(s).

If an Ed2go online class you are interested in is not on the approved clock hour course list (link above), please submit a request form here: Teacher clock hour request form for new courses. The clock hour committee meets four times per year (typically October, January, April, and July). Requests for new courses will be reviewed at the next committee meeting.
